Common questions

Revit asks about an "Unsigned Add-In" every time it starts.

Choose Always Load for each GBIM add-in once. If you chose Load Once, the question comes back next time.

The GBIM tab is missing in Revit.

Check that the setup found your Revit version (see install.log) and that you did not choose Do Not Load. Revit in Viewer mode still loads add-ins but cannot export or save.

The add-ins do not load in Revit 2026.

The Revit 2026 build runs on .NET 10, like the current Revit 2026 updates. Install the latest Revit 2026 update and start Revit again.

The GBIM tab is missing in Navisworks.

The tab is installed with any Navisworks add-in. Re-run the setup with at least one Navisworks add-in ticked, then restart Navisworks.

The Licence window says the licence must be checked.

The licence works 14 days after the last online check. Connect to the internet and choose Check now.

Clash Import says items are "Missing" or "Not loaded".

Check Models…: each Navisworks source model must map to this model or a loaded link. "Not loaded" means the link is unloaded in Revit. Export NWC files with element properties so items carry their Element ID.

Status Update skipped some rows.

Rows are never guessed. Read the reason in the preview: a renamed or re-run test, a clash name used twice, element IDs that differ, or two rows with different statuses for the same clash.

Clash Map shows squares instead of grid bays.

No usable grid was found (no grid, curved grid lines or only one direction). Append the model with the grid, or set the cell size (MapCell) in ClashManager.ini.

Clash Sync does not move the Revit view.

Both programs must run on the same PC, with Clash Sync switched on in Navisworks and its window open in Revit. If the sync view has a view template that controls the section box, the box cannot change; the window warns about it.

Safe Cleanup kept an item I expected to delete.

Its note says why: something uses it, or the test deletion would also remove other elements or views. Protected names and default types are never offered.

Can I undo a change?

Yes. Every change a GBIM tool makes is one Undo step in Revit or Navisworks. No tool saves the model.
